Engineering News STALFORMIn Moscow was completed reconstruction of the Zvenigorodski overpass above tracks of the Small Ring of Moscow Railway After serving for more than 60 years, constructive parts of the old, Northern bridge over the small railway ring were completely dismantled and in their place was built a new reinforced concrete bridge with comfortable exits.
Construction of the 73m.-long and 20.5-wide overpass in direction of the 1st Silica throughway and Zvenigorodski highway was conducted on surface without hard road covering. While working on the layout of the formwork, STALFORM Int’s specialists were taking into account all features of the project. For enhancement of the reinforced concrete structures, the spans were concreted layer by layer, directly along the entire length and width of the overpass. As for the supporting structures of the superstructure was used STATICO Snz formwork on galvanized steel frames.
Experienced builders of the company «TVA Group» had ensured strict adherence to recommendation pertaining to the formwork design and instructions concerning layering of concrete in the formwork. The new Zvenigorodski overpass was put into operation ahead of schedule. He became taller and nearly twice as wide as its predecessor: the number of lanes has been increased from two to four, and along the entire length of the overpass was added pavement.
The Zvenigorodski overpass became the second crossing over The Moscow Central Ring, in reconstruction of which participated STALFORM Int. Just a week ago, on Friday, October 30, to traffic was opened the Koptevsky overpass. At this site was used STALFOM’s all-metal formwork for round columns and MAGAFORM AL for concreting irregularly shaped cantilevers. Koptevo bridge, as well as the Zvenigorodsky bridge, was put into operation ahead of schedule. According to the plan of the Moscow Administration, already by early 2016, there will start test runs of the commuter trains. The Smaller Ring of the Moscow Railwayshould become an essential part of the capital’s municipal transport network.
